SimScale is a graphic design pack for calculation of mechanics of continuous media and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). It is a modern cloud computing environment, where the calculations of fluid dynamics, mechanics of continuous media, and heat exchange can be performed. OpenFOAM module is also used within this environment. A user’s interface is available in a web browser. The software can be used free of charge for educational purposes, but online computer simulation time for each user is limited to 3,000 hours and these include only calculations of mechanics of continuous media.

Hardware and operation system
Depend on the requirements of a user’s web browser. User’s computer and operation system have minor significance, as calculations occur on the software developer servers.

Connection to the Internet is mandatory, as the software is a cloud computing service.
