Mathworks MATLAB, called also “matrix laboratory”, is a high-level language and interactive environment for numerical computation, visualisation, and programming. With MATLAB, you can analyse data, develop algorithms, and create models and applications.

MATLAB is available to RTU structural units free of charge and may be used for non-commercial research and study purposes at classrooms. For time-consuming MATLAB simulations, MATLAB Distributed Computing Server may be used, which is available on the RTU HPC cluster (instruction is available here).

License term: perpetual.

Mathworks help: until 31.12.2026.

User groups: employees, students and classrooms.

MATLAB Campus-Wide License is available.

For individual use

For individual use, students, researchers and RTU employees can apply individually, registering, chose “Individual” licence.

For classrooms

For classrooms, it is available registering individually,, chose “Designated Compute” licence.

For HPC users

Registered cluster users may use the software on the cluster, the application form is available here.
