HPC demonstrations will be seen at the World Congress of Latvian Scientists
As the concluding event of the Open HPC Week, RTU HPC Center and HPC Competence Center “SuperS” will demonstrate HPC solutions to scientists at the World Congress of Latvian Scientists. The event will occur at the National Library of Latvia on June 28 from 10:00 to 16:00 in the section Exhibition of Digital Products Made by Latvians or in Latvia.
Three examples will be showcased throughout the day using an HPC (High-Performance Computing) cluster.
Demo one: how to catch microwaves in the air
During this demonstration, Romans Kusnins from Riga Technical University’s Faculty of Electronics and Communications will answer questions, such as how to catch microwaves floating in the air to produce energy and how can modeling on HPC byusing Monte-Carlo method help SMEs to create new products or improve the existing ones.
