OriginPro
OriginPro is a software for analysis and 3D graphing of scientific data. The software can be used for non-commercial research purposes.
License term: perpetual.
Origin online help: until 25.09.2019 (for research).
User groups: employees and doctoral students.
Licenses
For research. To apply for OriginPro 2016 New Network Permanent EDU license, fill in the application form.
License may only be acquired by RTU employees and doctoral students carrying out research work. After registration users will be given instructions regarding file downloading and installation.
For studies It is not possible to install the software on classroom computers.
For students It is not possible to install the software on a personal computer; however, doctoral students may apply for a research license.
Computer requirements
Hardware and OS. The OriginPro license available at RTU can only be run on MS Vista SP1, MS Windows 7, MS Windows 8, MS Windows 8.1, or MS Windows 10. More information can be obtained on the OriginLab website.
Network connection. OriginPro license is stored on the central server of RTU data centre, thus computer must be connected to RTU network (Floating Network license) during software installation and use.
For using outside RTU, like at home, VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection to RTU network is necessary (more information is available here).
